One of the best things about Weligama is how easy it is to spend the whole day by the coast without needing much of a plan. You can surf in the morning, grab a slow lunch by the beach, watch the sunset with a drink, and then move into the evening at one of the relaxed bars or restaurants around town. 

The nightlife in Weligama is casual, friendly, and easy-going rather than wild or overwhelming. Around the bay, you will find beach bars, surf cafés, rooftop spots, seafood restaurants, and laid-back places where travellers gather after a day in the water. Some spots sit right along the beachfront, while others are tucked along the main road or a short tuk-tuk ride away in nearby Midigama, Ahangama, and Mirissa.
